The Ex-J9 (DC-UPS DSU to DSU communication
cable) MUST NOT BE HOT-PLUGGED. The Ex-J9 cable must be
replaced or reconnected using a pseudo-repair of the DC-UPS DSU. That DC-UPS DSU parts
exchange procedure protects the DC-UPS staying
in customer use.
To install or reconnect the cable, you must do a pseudo-repair
of the DSU.
A pseudo-repair means you use the management console guided parts
exchange procedure. There are two ways to do this:
Exit this procedure and then return to the serviceable event that
sent you here and select the DC-UPS DSU from the
FRU list.
