MAP7002 Network surveillance location information

Location codes provided in the FRU list for network surveillance serviceable events are port locations, and not actual FRUs. The locations were put in the FRU list to improve problem isolation. They cannot be directly repaired using this serviceable event. If you attempt to repair a network surveillance event by selecting a location code to "repair", you will reach this MAP.

About this task

The first item on the FRU list for this serviceable event should be MAP7000 Entry point for storage facility private network problems. MAP7000 will guide you through additional MAPs to isolate private network problems. Any FRU replacement will be directed from the MAP7xxx series of private network isolation procedures, or from a separate serviceable event.
