Shutting down management console MC 2

If you have a second management console (MC 2) installed, use these tasks to shut down the management console.

Procedure

  1. Shut down MC 2.
    Note: You must shut down MC 2 to ensure that MC 1 assumes the primary role. If MC 2 is turned on or restarted after MC 1 is started, then MC 2 will have the primary role and performing the installation from MC 1 may fail.
    1. From the navigation area, click HMC Management.
    2. In the right work area, go to the Operations section and click Shut Down or Restart.
    3. Click Shut Down HMC.
