An ATA command failed.

Before you begin

Note: Storage complex repair actions must always be managed from the management console. To replace any FRUs identified in this procedure, use Storage Facility Management > storage facility > Exchange Parts. If the FRUs are listed in this or another Serviceable Event, select them from there.

Procedure

  1. Verify that the signal and power cables are properly attached to the device specified by the location code. If necessary, verify and repair the cables, and then, retry the operation.
  2. If the problem persists, the media in the device might not be readable. Remove the media and try another copy.
  3. If the problem persists, replace the device specified by the location code.
