This symbolic FRU is used to show additional locations for the
endpoints of cables.
About this task
The
CBLCONT procedure is not normally used for the DS8000® storage facility.
- If this storage facility is running LIC code:
- VRMF 6.x.xx.xxx or 62.xx.xx.x, go to the next step.
- VRMF 63.xx.xx.xx or later, you should no longer be sent here
at all. To return to the normal service action, go to step 3.
- If this procedure was automatically displayed by the FRU replacement process,
you should have already replaced the cable FRU that is listed just ahead of
CBLCONT in the FRU list. CBLCONT is a symbolic FRU that displays the location
code for the other end of the cable FRU in the FRU list. It is not used to
replace the FRU. This procedure could also be displayed if you selected the
FRU replacement screen option stating that you did not have the needed replacement
FRU onsite. To return to the normal service action, go to the next step.
- Contact the next level of support, or return to the HMC repair
screen that sent you here to continue the repair.
- You will be prompted with the following questions. Use the answers given
below.
- These answers will enable the Repair process to continue with the next
FRU on the FRU list.
- To the question What was the result of using the service procedure
from Infocenter?, click Problem not fixed and
then click Next.
- To the question Did you exchange any parts?, click No and
then click Next.
- To the question Did you isolate the problem?, click No and
then click Next.
What to do next
This ends the procedure.
