Note: Storage complex repair actions must always be managed from the management
console. To replace any FRUs identified in this
procedure, use Storage
Facility Management > storage facility > Exchange Parts. If the FRUs are listed in
this or another Serviceable Event, select them from there.
Procedure
Is the SRC 1xxx8400?
Yes, reenter and save the correct configuration ID value,
even if the correct value is already displayed. Go to MAP4820 Performing a slow boot of a CEC enclosure. If the problem persists,
continue with the next step.
No, continue with the next step.
Use ASMI to display the configuration ID for
the CEC and I/O enclosures. For information on launching ASMI, refer
to MAP6F00 Accessing the ASMI.
Note: To
perform this step, the CEC enclosures
must be powered on.
Logon with userid celogin and password FipSce.
Select System Configuration, then Configure
I/O enclosures.
Refer to Table 1 to
check the values are correct for the CEC and I/O enclosures.
This is not an expected condition. Contact your next level
of support.
Note: To set
the I/O enclosure configuration ID, both CEC enclosures
must be powered on to Server Firmware power off state.
This cannot be performed concurrently with customer access to the storage facility.
The
next level of support might ask you to perform the following steps
to correct the I/O enclosure configuration ID.
From the navigation area,
click Storage Facility Management > storage facility > Server
View > server.
From the bottom Task area,
click Service Utilities > Storage
Facility Power Control.
Click Power
On System To Standby.
Repeat the previous step for the other CEC enclosure.
Access ASMI against the CEC enclosure as
described in step 2.
Select System Configuration and
then Configure I/O enclosures.
Set the Power Control Network Identifier to
88.
Click Save Settings.
Set the Local/Remote switch to
Local and use the white service switch to power off the storage facility.
Set the Local/Remote switch to
Remote.
Use Storage
Facility Management > storage facility > Service Utilities > Storage Facility
Power Control.
If the problem persists, then exchange the SPCN card
in the failing enclosure; see TWRCARD.
