Before you begin
Note: DVD-RAM disc media from IBM should come preformatted properly
for use as a backup/restore disc. If the disc needs to be reformatted, or
if you must use a non-IBM disc, then use the following step to format the
disc.
Procedure
Format a DVD-RAM disc for use as a backup/restore disc. - From the navigation
area, click HMC Management.
- In the right work area, go to the Operations section.
Click Format Media.
- At the Format Media screen, select Format DVD-RAM and
click OK.
- At the Format DVD-RAM screen, select Backup/restore and
click Format.
