Procedure

Display open serviceable events, looking for any that are related to the FC-AL cable loops. This includes the following FRUs:
  • Device adapter card (in I/O enclosure)
  • FCIC card (in storage enclosure)
  • FC-AL cables (cables connected to device adapter cards and/or FCIC cards)

Are there any open serviceable events that are related to the FC-AL cable loops?

  • Yes, exit this MAP, and repair the related serviceable events. If the repair is successful, close the serviceable event that sent you here. If the repair is not successful, replace the DDM FRU listed in this serviceable event FRU list.
  • No, use this serviceable event to replace the DDM in the FRU list.
