MAP2620 SRC BE19394x Waiting for battery modules to achieve
80% charge
The rack battery modules are being charged but have not
yet achieved the 80% minimum charge to allow the storage facility to
be used.
MAP2620 Section-1
Procedure
- Determine which rack in the storage facility is
reporting the battery charge condition. Reference the last character
of the SRC field in the serviceable event that
sent you to this MAP. The last character identifies the rack.
- Are there any open serviceable events related
to the PPS or
battery modules in this rack?
- Yes, exit this MAP and repair those serviceable events.
- No, go to the next step.
- There are no hardware problems at this time. The battery
modules are charging normally and must achieve 80% of their maximum
charge before the code will allow the storage facility to
be used. There is no utility option to display the battery charge
percentage, so you should retry each operation that gave the error
30 to 60 minutes.
- Wait a maximum of three hours for the 80% battery module charge
to be achieved.
- If the error condition does not go away after three hours,
check once again for related open serviceable events to repair
and, if there are none, return to the serviceable event that
sent you here and replace the battery module listed in the FRU list.
