MAP21A1 DC-UPS fault isolation during installation

The DC-UPS is displaying an error code during the DC-UPS power checks during an installation. The installation is not yet far enough to use normal error analysis and repair procedures to repair the condition.

Procedure

  1. The DC-UPS does not need to be repaired now; it is repaired later during the installation.
  2. Ensure the DC-UPS cables are properly plugged and seated.
  3. The probable failing FRU can be identified from the DC-UPS error code and ordered now instead of waiting until the actual repair is needed later during the installation.
    Find the DC-UPS error code in MAP2341 Codes on the DC-UPS DSU status display.
    If the error description is for: Order:
    A fan The DC-UPS fan assembly
    Battery service module A battery service module set
    Neither a battery service module or fan The DC-UPS DC supply unit (DSU)
  4. Continue the installation.
