MAP20F6 Expansion rack DC-UPS to rack 1 RPC communication problem detected

A DC-UPS to RPC card communication problem was detected. The problem normally will be mis-plugged DC-UPS or RPC card cables detected during an install or repair action. Mis-plug in this case means cross connected between the RPC cards or between the DC-UPSs.

Procedure

The DC-UPS to DC-UPS communication cable is a "Y" cable that connects one RPC card to both DC-UPSs. Each rack in the storage facility has two "Y" cables, one going to each RPC card.
One or more DC-UPS to RPC card cables have been detected as mis-plugged (cross connected) at DC-UPS-1, DC-UPS-2, or the RPC card. This should only occur during an install or repair action that caused you to connect or reconnect the cables.
Note: If this occurred during an install, it is possible that a cable was mislabeled. If a labeling error is found, mark the label so it will not cause future problems.

Use the tables below to physically trace each cable and ensure all three ends are correctly plugged. If a problem is found, you must not hot plug the cables to correct the problem. Instead, return and repeat the procedure during which the cables were connected. If this is not possible, contact your next level of support.

Note: If the cables are crossed, it is not possible to do a psuedo repair of one RPC card or DS-UPS to correct the problem. Next level of support may need remote access to correct this.
