MAP2020 Service processor I2C interface failure

A failure in the I2C interface between one or both RPC cards and the service processor in the CECs is indicated.

About this task

Multiple problems may be reported for this error. The RPC cards as well as the CECs may create problems to be repaired.

Procedure

  1. Display the open serviceable events that need repair. Is there any serviceable event listing a CEC Service Processor Card (Models 941/951) or CEC enclosure system backplane (Model 96x) in the FRU list?
    • Yes, go to the next step.
    • No, return to the screen that sent you here and continue the repair.
  2. Select and repair the serviceable event that lists the CEC service processor card (Models 941/951) or CEC enclosure system backplane (Model 96x) as a FRU.
    • If that repair fixes the failure, remember to cancel the serviceable event that sent you here, which will also reset any related fence conditions.
    • If that repair does not fix the failure, use the serviceable event that sent you here to repair the failure.
