If the repair process did not automatically close the serviceable event, then
perform the following actions to close it.
From the navigation area, click Service
Management.
In the right work area, go to the Service
Management section and click Manage Serviceable
Events. A window opens and lets you specify selection
criteria for serviceable events.
Select the serviceable event, click Selected (on
toolbar), select Close Event.
Use the management
console option
listed below to ensure all resources for this repair were returned
to customer use. Any resources that show an exception condition should
be investigated.
From the navigation area, click Storage Facility Management > storage
facility.
From the bottom task area, click Service
Utilities > View Storage Facility Resource States. The View Resources State window
opens.
Scroll down to see the states of the various resources.
Did any system check types show Failed status?
Yes, refer to MAP1100 View storage facility state (end of call) for
more information and actions. Normally the action is to display and
repair all Open Serviceable Events for this storage facility. If
there are no open serviceable events, then contact your next
level of support.
No, click on Close to end the View
Resource State. Continue with the next step.
If FRUs that contain network nodes (Service processor,
Ethernet adapters, Ethernet switches) were replaced, then perform
the following steps to Save the Network Topology.
From the navigation
area, click HMC Management.
In the
right work area, go to the Operations section
and click View Network Topology.
When the Network Topology window
tool appears, click Save.
Click Close to end the View Network
Topology.
Ensure that the rear cover screws are reinstalled to prevent
access to hazardous areas by non-service personnel.
