A diagnostic function detects an external processor interface problem. If replacing the FRUs previously listed in the FRU list does not fix the problem, perform the steps below.

About this task

Note: Storage complex repair actions must always be managed from the management console. To replace any FRUs identified in this procedure, use Storage Facility Management > storage facility > Exchange Parts. If the FRUs are listed in the serviceable events, select them from there.

Procedure

  1. This MAP is not expected to be called for Model 941. Stop and contact your next level of support.
  2. Replace the CEC enclosure system processor card. The CEC enclosure memory DIMMs were located on Un-P1-C13 or Un-P1-C14 or Un-P1-C15 or Un-P1-C16.
    Note: These are not valid memory DIMM locations for the Model 941 CEC enclosure.
  3. Perform a slow boot. See MAP4820 Performing a slow boot of a CEC enclosure.
