A test unit ready failed on an undetermined SCSI device.

Before you begin

Note: Storage complex repair actions must always be managed from the management console. To replace any FRUs identified in this procedure, use Storage Facility Management > storage facility > Exchange Parts. If the FRUs are listed in this or another Serviceable Event, select them from there.

Procedure

  1. Is a location code associated with this checkpoint?
    • Yes, go to step 2.
    • No, call your next level of support for assistance.
  2. Does the location code identify a disk drive?
    • Yes, replace the disk drive. If the problem is not resolved, replace the backplane for that disk drive.
    • No, go to step 3.
  3. Replace the backplane that is specified by the location code.
