MAP60A0 Display the HMC role selection

Determine the HMC role (HMC1 primary or HMC2 secondary) using the HMC utilities.

Procedure

  1. Log onto the management console with the following default user ID and password:

    User ID: CE
    Password:  serv1cece

  2. Determine the HMC role.
    1. From the navigation area, click HMC Management.
    2. In the right work area, go to the Storage Server HMC Tasks section and click Query/Activate HMC Role Selection. The current HMC role is displayed along with the option to change the setting.
