MAP4A20 Error during update of HMC code

An error was detected during the HMC code update process.

MAP4A20 Section-1

Procedure

  1. Can you log into the HMC?
    • Yes, go to the next step.
    • No, exit this MAP and isolate the failure to login.
  2. Find the SRC in Table 1 to determine the repair action.
    Table 1. Repair action for code update error
    SRC Description Action
    BE9C0080 Code update process lost communication with the management console. Go to step 3.
    BE9C0081 HMC update failed due to internal error. Contact your next level of support.
    All other SRCs. Not an expected condition. Contact your next level of support.
  3. Do the following steps:
    1. Log out from the HMC.
    2. Log into the HMC.
    3. Restart the HMC update process. If it fails, contact your next level of support.
